About this event
The Warehouse Project's residency at Depot Mayfield runs from late September to New Year's Day — four months of the best electronic line-ups in Europe, in an old mail depot two minutes behind Piccadilly station.
The location is the catch. Depot is walkable from the city centre but genuinely nowhere near the usual hotel cluster. Travelling for WHP means either a hotel by the airport (an hour back on the tram) or a city-centre apartment (15 minutes on foot back from the warehouse, ideally with a kitchen for the 6am toast).
Getting to Depot Mayfield, Manchester
Depot Mayfield is a 12-minute walk behind Piccadilly station. From our Northern Quarter and Ancoats flats it's 15–20 minutes on foot.
Taxis after events are surge-priced and gridlocked on the narrow Mayfield road — walking is almost always faster.
For the WHP New Year's event specifically, pre-book a city-centre apartment months out. This is the busiest night of the Manchester year.
Food & drink nearby
Pre-event, Ducie Street and the Northern Quarter are the natural warm-up strip. Firebird, YES, Night & Day.
Post-event (early morning), This & That on Soap Street and Pollen Bakery in Ancoats both open early enough to catch a WHP crowd on the way home.

Frequently asked
- What time do Warehouse Project events finish?
- Most WHP events run until 4–5am. New Year's and major specials can run until 8am.
- Is Depot Mayfield far from the hotels?
- It's right behind Piccadilly station — easy to walk to from any central Manchester accommodation. Staying further out (airport, Salford Quays) makes the return trip much harder.
- Are your apartments OK for arriving home at 5am?
- All have self-check-in with a smart lock or key safe, so there's no reception to wake up. Neighbours and building quiet-hours apply — we ask for no parties in the apartment itself.
